Day 17 - Awaiting departure...

Today we had a nice dinner at Luigi's on Jefferson so we decided to drive along the water. I captured this shot of a dock at the end of S. River Rd. Makes me want to be on our boat!

Day 16 - Farm life...

I love taking rides to view the countryside, this one was not too far from our house. I did a little creative touchup with my new program Corel PSP X3 to make it look aged.

Day 15 - The moon

Sitting at the kitchen table tonight talking to Jeremy, Tiff and Mike and looked outside and saw this beautiful moon tonight. Of cousre, grabbed my camera right away to take some shots. Just beautiful!

Day 14 - Easter

Today I had both grandchildren over to practice our photography on Easter photos. For my first time using a backdrop I think I did ok. I still have alot to learn and one of them is to have everything ready and practice on something before putting the kids in front of the camera. Maison didn't last but 10min.

But overall they both did great and I love the photos! Here's a little collage of my favorites.

Day 12 - St Clair River

Mike & I took a drive today along the St Clair River to get some shots. It was so cool watching the ice float down the river. Beautiful day with the sun shining but still a little chilly! I had to keep running back to the car to get warm! Can't wait for the warm weather.

Day 11 - A Grandmother's Love...

Jeremy & Tiff came over today with Aidan and what could be better than photographing your grandchildren. So....we took tons of shots and this is the one I liked the best. He is 3wks and two days old as of day and doing great!

Day 10 - My buddy "Ella"

This is Ella, she is 5yrs old and a pure Cocker Spaniel. We just love her. She became a part of our family back in Sept 2009. She is a great dog and just loves people!

Day 9 - I collect....

This is a picture of Emmett Kelly Jr. that my birth father painted for me when I was a baby. I started collecting Emmett Kelly clown's when I was 18 because of this picture. My mom bought me my first clown. The painting is still in the original frame from over 40+ years ago!

Day 8 - Sometimes you feel like a nut...sometimes you don't.

Today I had a terrible headache and just didn't feel like doing anything. So I'm feeling pretty "nutty" today. So while at dinner I captured this shot at Texas Roadhouse.

Day 7 - Good Ole Days

Today I was craving a Banana Cream Pie from Achatz Pie in Armada. Since I was going to visit my girlfriend that lives in Armada I thought I would bring my camera along for the ride, just in case I saw something that caught my eye. Well, Achatz had this old wagon sitting in the yard that I just love. So I thought I'd get out and take a few shots from different angles. This is the one I like the best. Reminds me of the good ole country days from down south.

Day 6 - Walk a mile in my shoes

Always remember never to judge anyone. You never know what people are going through until you've walked a mile in their shoes!

Day 5 - Heart Health

Friday's are wear RED for heart health. Since I have a pacemaker I thought this photo would be a great way to promote a healthy heart. So....save someone you love by getting them to live heart healthy and a yearly checkup.

Day 3 - Nature at it's Best

There is this beautiful tree that stands alone on a farm across the street from our house. I have been dying to get a photo of it when the sun is setting with the beautiful colors behind it. Finally my husband & I were able to capture the shot.

Day 4 - Self Portrait 'kind of'

I had my camera at work today and was sitting in a friend's cube when I noticed this mirror hanging on the wall. I thought...what the heck so here is my take on a self portrait of a photographer. I then tried something a little creative in Corel PSP XI.

Day 2 - New Growth

With the beautiful weather we have been having I couldn't help but notice that my flowers were starting to pop out of the ground. With all the drap looking mulch this 'new growth' made for a perfect shot.
